Cantante, guitarrista y compositor Jorge De Argelos

Creó Vania su Banda de Rock el 19 de Junio de 2012. Al principio estaba compuesta por él como voz principal y guitarra, otro guitarrista, un percusionista y Christian Schmiedel en la batería. Tanto el percusionista como el guitarrista solista abandonaron la banda al poco tiempo debido a cuestiones personales por lo que la banda al principio quedó constituida como un dúo.

Durante el resto del año 2012 diversos guitarristas pasaron por Vania pero ninguno permaneció debido a diferencias artísticas o cuestiones personales, sin embargo la dupla De Argelos/Schmiedel continúo trabajando a pesar de todo.

A principios de 2013 la mayoría de los temas que conformarán en primer álbum de la banda estaban compuestos pero ésta agrupación seguía incompleta por lo que se realizaron una serie de castings en Marzo de ese año cuyo resultado fué la integración de Diego Mejía como bajista de la banda. Sin embargo no hubo suerte con los guitarristas por lo que Jorge De Argelos decide llamar a un gran amigo de la escuela de música, Edgar Noyola, quien finalmente se integraría como guitarrista solista en Abril de 2013.

Actualmente Vania se encuentra promocionando su primer álbum Viajando entre Luz y Oscuridad, el cual fué producido por Liber Terán, ex-vocalista de Los de Abajo, en Santo Canuto Estudios.

La música de Vania toca temas como el amor, el desamor, la locura, temas existenciales, entre otros y mezcla ritmos como el rock, pop, balada, bolero ranchero, funk, etc. en un sincretismo musical interesante para la escena actual.

ENGLISH BIOGRAPHY

Vania was a Mexican Rock Band which was formed in june 19th 2012 by the singer, lead guitar and composer Jorge De Argelos.

Vania's story starts by the year 2012 when Jorge decides to drop music school and undertakes an original music project. In order to do this, he carried out a series of castings starting at Mexico City with bare results, even so, during mexico city's casting he met who later will become into band's drummer, Christian Schmiedel.

Jorge's travels seeking musicians lead him through several cities such as Puebla, Guadalajara, Monterrey and finally his home city Tampico. Results were not fructiferous as expected.

Nevertheless that did not stop Jorge and when he come back to Mexico City carried out some more castings and a guitar player and a percussionist joined and dropped the band due to different interests or personal issues.

Several guitar players went through the band but none was a permanent member because of several issues or creative differences with De Argelos/Schmiedel duo.

During 2012 most of the themes which will be part of Vania's first album were composed, but the band was still incomplete, due to in March 2013 new castings were carried out resulting in the integration of Diego Mejía as the bass' player project, but there wasn't positive results finding guitar players, consequently Jorge decides to call a good friend from music school, Edgar Noyola, who finally took part as the official band's guitar player in April 2013.

Vania's music is about love, craziness, existentialism, among others; and mixes rhythms such as rock, pop, ballad, rockabilly, funk, etc.

Nowadays they are promoting their first album, titled "Viajando entre Luz y Oscuridad" (A Journey between Light and Darkness) produced by Liber Terán, ex-lead singer of Los de Abajo, in Santo Canuto Estudios.
