About Ursaminor

The band was formed on June 2005. It started when Ced got back from the States. He invited his former band mates Jambs and Jp to jam with him as soon as he got back and introduced the songs he composed. The problem was the drummer quit their band that time because of personal reasons. Ced decided to invite his sister to jam with them and eventually got her as their permanent drummer. The band faced a lot of frustrating events during that span of time but still decided to put-up the band URSAMINOR for angst release purposes. The band is still hoping for people to appreciate their music and recognize the passion they have. In September of 2006 the band was a finalist in the Motorola School of Rock band competition that was held at Metrowalk, but did not win the event but won some experience since it’s the biggest show they played on up to date. In early 2007 guitarist Jp Capulong quit the band because of work related issues. And Jm Naceno took his place late January 2007 and now plays lead guitar for Ursaminor. On April 2007 the band was one of the top 5 finalist for the INVASIA Manila Leg Tour, sharing the stage with Love Me Butch, which was held at RNB bar in metrowalk.

Ursaminor plays music with great passion and with all emotion. The band’s compositions can never be appreciated by just anyone but only to a real person. It’s possible that people know the concept of the band but they will never understand the true substance of every song. When you listen closely to every song, there’s a unique spirit that comes out which brings out happy depression. Every song may seem dull and simple but if you just listen through another passage, you’ll appreciate the essence of the songs and you’ll realize that every song has a depressive soul and a hidden emotion to it.
