About me:
Look at this... available from your local Travelling Man, ask them if it's sold out, buy all the copies if it hasn't.

The new collected Nightbus Comic, brought to you by Mr Chris Jones and my good self. Conrad and César run the university safety bus. It's set in Newcastle. You love it. That's all you'll need for now. This small press wonder collects all four free snapshots, an unreleased fifth snapshot, and extra material to tie things together.

Many thanks to everyone who's already parted with cash and read the comic. You are the future.

Stockists so far include all Travelling Man stores
  • Newcastle
    York
    Leeds
    Manchester

    and also

    David's Comics in Brighton

    with more to come

It's £1.20 but if you're not near any of those, contact me through Myspace. Paypal will happen soon.

    Here's some art goodness too.

Hi Gary, thanks for your support and kind words. Newcastle is still going strong so don't worry about that, it's just really sad about notts and brist but we are still a small company and have always struggled with 6 branches so hopefully we can get on top of things a lot more now :) have a great weekend! xx

"He Bought Me a Soda and He Tried to Molest Me in a Parking Lot!"

    Volume 2!

Last year the first volume of this "collection of illustrations inspired by lyrics from those songs that get stuck in your head all day" was a great success and people had a lot of fun interpreting their favourite lyrics!

You can download the first volume as a free pdf here:

    http://www.soundofdrowning.com/soda1.html

So the time seemed ripe for a Volume 2!

The specs are the same; artwork should be A5 300 dpi. As well as a limited edition artbook of the project there will also be another free pdf of the book, which has been downloaded by a good thousand people so far.

So give vent to those earworms and get sending those submissions to the contact details on this page:

    http://www.soundofdrowning.com/Contact.html

Deadline is April 1st and I'm really looking forward to seeing this years entries!

Yes! Forming an alliance sounds militaristic and therefore very appealing to the German in me!
Although, I just realised that might put the British in you off a little...
and yes, it's very hard to avoid the phrases around here. So thanks for the comment in answer to me adding you to my friend-list. I'm lost.

    PLAY PERFORMANCE EVENT 2

    Venue: Gallery GLUE

    Date: Thursday 15 Nov, 7pm(prompt) - 9pm

Toby Lloyd will invite the audience to play Pass the Parcel - there will be sweets, music and stopping and starting. But what's inside?!

Hedley Sugar-Wells will be encouraging a regression towards a more playful state, to embrace physical, interactive play and to look at the humour that ensues when people try to challenge gender-stereotyped play. She will be dressing up.

Adham Tawfik and Ben Pearson will be playing Risk - Live! from the Bunker. There will be a live-feed leading up from the bunker to the gallery.

Andrea Dietz - will be doing a performance that transforms a blank 2D canvas into a 2D/3D hybrid. The colonising material is solely paint. Playing with the boundaries of painting, parts are rendered, manipulated and sculpted using static paint while others undergo the traditional brushstroke of viscous pigment.

Nightbus. Like it. Really like 0805 too. wooosh. saw a great little 2 second snapshot one day from a train window; back of a warehouse, two men standing at the rear of a van five feet apart, between them on the ground the shattered remains of the large sheet of glass they had just that moment slipped out of their hands.
