When I first met with Umoja it was in a very intimate setting, the band members layered across a living room couch. As I listened to them talk, I realized the band was righteous and honest. Saturday night, to kick off the completion of the first Umoja album, they played a CD release show. I was blown away. No longer did I hear what they had told me, I felt it; I was moved by it. Every person in the sold out show, and even those listening from the streets, shared my same view.

hey folks, this is tony (soundguy from Apache). just wanted to let all your fans know how well you did in Atlanta. It was a fantastic show, good vibes, great crowd, awesome music, and you guys are a super friendly group of musicians. It's always refreshing to work with people as kind and talented as you, seriously. From the time you showed up until you left it was all smiles and fun times. Very professional, very skilled musically, very easy going, it made my night. I'm glad you all enjoyed the Chinese Buddha, they make some great food. Don't be strangers to the A-town, I'll be here when you get back. Just keep making fond memories for your fans, and I'll see you next time, deal?
