A cry for freedom welling up from an eternity of oppressed selfhood. Flowers at war with machines. Great cities returning to nothing. Empty, overgrown parking lots. Relaxing in the warm breeze of the past, on a late afternoon years ago. The faces we used to know so well have become shadows of memories drifting in wispy fractured threads down long-untraveled corridors deep in the recesses of time. Waking up in the aftermath of some hazy dream of loss to an empty world. Happy things, like trees and the late afternoon sky over Sussex County.
