Everybody from The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones and Billy Joel to John Mayer, Matchbox 20, Ryan Adams, Maroon 5, Black Eyed Peas and Norah Jones. All types of music from pop, indie, rock and rap to blues, country and jazz. There are no limits!
"Though young, the 18 year-old is actually pretty accomplished and his
record rails against everything that is popular right now: no screaming,
no nail polish, no mosh parts…..instead we have a smooth-as-butter voice." ~Lewis. Play Magazine, 01-31-07
TUCKER JAMESON & THE HOT MUGS
Tucker Jameson creates songs that take you on a musical journey. Tucker is influenced by old-time rock and roll, blues, jazz and the pop tunes of today. Stylistically he is in the same vein as John Mayer, Maroon 5, and Matchbox 20, but with an edge. From simple to complex, his music is addictive.
Tucker’s passion for music and the stage shine through in every performance. Tucker has opened for artists such as John McCarthy and Doug Wimbish, Jeffrey Gaines, The Breakfast and Seth Adam. As the front man for The Rock House All-Star Band, Tucker opened for Living Color at the second annual Wimbash at Sully’s in Hartford, CT. He has played at many venues such as the infamous Toad’s Place in Connecticut and The Annex in New York City. He is also the winner of the summer singer/songwriters’ contest at Berklee in 2006 for his song “Never Grow Old” from his first Album. Whether with the band, or performing solo, Tucker Jameson captures the hearts and souls of audiences of all ages.
Just as important as the songs are the guys playing the songs and bringing them to life. Tucker has assembled an all-star group of musicians that share a vast body of knowledge and experience. The Hot Mugs are a band of youthful, enthusiastic and energetic performers who demonstrate creative and technical abilities beyond their years. They hail from all over the country and are currently attending the highly regarded Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.Randy Blair, the lead guitarist from Texas, has a strong rock and blues background with the larger-than-life abandon like that of many Texas musicians. Having studied with guitar greats from Rusty Cooley to Joe Stump, Randy knows how to rock the house. Dan Drohan, the drummer from Rochester, NY, delivers the band’s driving beats. His experience with jazz and rock, brings to the table the killer groove in the band’s performances and the foundation upon which the songs are built. Seth Glennie-Smith is the very cool and very laid back bass player from Los Angeles. He has a firm background in funk and fusion and lays down a bass groove that gets the crowd moving. Together these talented musicians form The Hot Mugs and add energy and spunk to the live performances!
TUCKER JAMESON & THE HOT MUGS are preparing for a summer tour celebrating the release of Tucker’s self-titled second Album, produced and mixed by Vic Steffens at Horizon Studios in CT and mastered by Justin Shturtz of Sterling Sound in NYC. The Album will be available on iTunes this summer.
