| About Trophys |
Trophys is the premier dive club in South Austin, Texas. It hosts a variety of music every night of the week ranging from punk / rock / indie / shoegaze / metal.
Booking Hours None. Email is available anytime @ trophysbooking@yahoo.com. Please speak only with Matt. No matter what!
Tuesdays are the weekly Singer-Songwriter Showcase hosted by Bill Davis. Sign-ups are at 9:15 w/ music at 9:45pm. If you're an acoustic act looking to book a show, this is a good place to start. We usually only do acoustic music on Tuesday nights.
Booking Policy We usually reserve Wednesday nights for new bands trying to get their feet in the door. Thursday - Saturday are usually held for bigger shows, both local and national acts. We rarely do package tours unless the bands are well known and there's some press support behind them. All booking inquires should be directed towards Matt Drenik @ trophysbooking@yahoo.com or you can reach him here on myspace. When there is a cover (Wed - Sat / occasionally Mon) the bands receive a % of the door. This usually varies on whether the band brought a large amount of people in or not. **The club takes out a small portion for sound. If you have a specific question about payment or beer comps, please direct those questions to Matt.
*** Please make sure to pick up your money at the end of the night. You have a 90% chance of your money disappearing if you leave it up at the club any longer. Remember the unwritten code for bands : If you want to get paid, get paid that night! The club is not responsible for lost payment if it is left at the end of the night.
Club Info
Located in the heart of South Congress, Trophys is a 200-250 cap room. Cover usually varies between $0-8, with the occasional high $$ show. We're a beer and wine bar. You ARE ALLOWED to bring in your own booze (ie. whiskey, vodka). We want you to have the best time you possibly can at our club. Set-ups are no longer available. We accept CASH and CREDIT (Visa / Mastercard). We have a big and nasty backyard deck area where people can drink and smoke and get crazy. We were voted the "best dive club" by the Austin American-Statesman in 2005. Acts that have graced our club include : Spoon, Bad Wizard, Ghostland Observatory, Lions, Yuppie Pricks, Honky, Grady, Dixie Witch, Riverboat Gamblers, Witch, White Denim, Valient Thorr, Drums and Tuba, Peelander Z, Amplified Heat, The Black Angels, and many more. Dave Sprauer still owns the bar and Matt Drenik is the talent buyer. Colby is no longer working for the club at this time.
TROPHYS FOOD
Trophys does have a full menu available during the day (3-8 Mon/Fri and 12-8 Sat / Sun). It mainly consists of Burgers and deli sandwichs. Stop in and try some really great food! You won't be disappointed.
CATERING
Trophy's also has a Catering Service (BBQ, Meats, Etc..) for any party or event that you might have. Please contact the owner, Dave Sprauer, at the bar for any questions regarding this.
