Made up of five members, The GazettE is one of the most popular bands on the PS Company label, home to such other bands as Kagrra and alice nine. Although rock music is definitely the soul of this group, they're not afraid to experiment with their sound and their songs range widely from soft ballads to punk rock to even some songs with hip-hop elements. The GazettE is a visual band, their look varying wildly from single to single and album to album, but their sound is always unmistakably 'Gazette' and rock.

Biografia
Nightmare existe desde finales del 2001, su nombre en japones es ?????(Naitomea), sus dos guitarristas Hitsugi y Sakito decidieron formar la banda, luego se incorporan el vocalista Yomi y el bajista Ni~ya. Y gracias a la disolución del grupo Luinspear, el batería Ruka se suma a la banda.
Su look al principio era diverso entre sus componentes. Su influencia musical vienen de La:Sadies y de Dir en Grey. Y con alguna influencia del grupo Angura Kei y de Kagrra.
El compositor de la banda es su guitarrista Sakito, y en algunas canciones es Ruka.
El 21 de Noviembre del 2002 lanzan su álbum "Outlaw", el 25 de Diciembre (curiosa fecha ^^) del 2003 el álbum "Ultimate Circus", el 25 de Noviembre del 2004 el álbum "Libido" y el 22 de Febrero del 2006 lanzan su último álbum "Anima". Por supuesto, entre álbunes sacaron distintos singles.
