Mostly, we sound like us.
However Caroline's pretty versatile, switching between raunchy rock, sultry soul, sweet Sound of Music, bitter Alanis, bopping Joss Stone and anyone else she happens to have heard recently.
The rest of the band keep up somehow, switching from smooth clean tones, through classic blues into edgy rock, as the situation demands, blending acoustic, pop and rock styles.
TripManhattan is all about contrast, passion and great music.
With Caroline front and centre, TM retain our high energy popular rock and indie approach mixed with sensitive ballads, but add powerful blues to our repertoire.
Rhythm is provided, courtesy of Andy and Nigel on drums and bass, offering both drive and subtlety, while melodic drive and harmony come from the dual guitars of Dave and Simon
TM is primalily an originals band, built on the song writing of both individuals and the band as a whole, though we retain a selection of covers because:

Original material is wide ranging, from the acoustic duet of More than a Plane Ride Away, through the meaning laden Hard Road, on to Indie pop in the form of the fun Wino and out into striaght power numbers in the form of Cold Night, Lies and The Hunter. Rarely vapid (!), and generally pointed or dark, the lyrical content is as important as the complex melodies and arrangements.
TripManhattan can be found touring around venues in Hull and East Yorkshire, playing their exciting flavour of music at pubs, clubs, private parties and festival gigs.
It's a place for bands to explain how they book shows. Comes along with news on web technologies, recording gizmos as well as music industry trends and anecdotes.
