About me:
Well...I love to travel (when I'm not working that is). I've been splitting my time off between Fort Lauderdale, Cozumel MX and Cali. I love the outdoors...especially anything to do with the ocean. I do a lot of diving, surf when I get the chance, mountainbike a lot, and love going to new places and meeting new people. Not really into "touristy" areas. In the past few years I've been to MX, Belize, Guatemala, Nicauraga, Costa Rica, Peru, Honduras, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, China, Japan, Phillipines, England, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Holland, Bulgaria, and The Chech Rep. I'm a pretty laid back person and into pretty much all kind of music besides country (sorry country fans). I kinda gravitate towards the off the wall.....don't do well in lines or traffic, like to have fun and make the most of whatever I'm doing, and I'm more at home in a Palapa than the Ritz.
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone with a good sense of humor.
Week started off pretty rough, so decided to wait until it improved to comment back to avoid the appearance of negativity...ha. Hope yours is progressing towards the weekend nicely!!
Yeah, I did a trip last week and the plane broke in Montreal....ended up having to ferry it back to DTW. That was fun!! Sat in the cockpit the whole time! I go back up today and am on call for 8 days!
Sorry to hear about your job . ..that stinks. I heard they were a good company. Ironically, my schooling is for Travel, Tourism and Hospitality. Someday maybe I'll be booking your passengers lol. I'm probably going to do corporate travel first but we'll see. Good luck with the job search, something will show up soon!
Not much . . . i'm in school at Empire. It was time for a career change but I'm loving it. How are things with you? I read your bullentins now and again but haven't seen you post one in awhile.
My brother passed away last september. He was killed at Alden Park in Tracy on 09/09/08. I had not talked with Jon for years until Steve passed away and I called them to tell them the bad news. I've talked to Jon sporadically since then.

Maddy never knew that I smoked...LOL. ANyways, I haven't worked since June because I took FMLA for my brother's wedding and then I was off from the 10-16th, so I am headed back to DTW on Wednesday......Miss you too!!
I quit smoking today. I am super bitchy, but I haven't smoked yet today!!! We got e-mails saying that they aren't planning any furloughs for the fall now since they got such an overwhelming response in people wanting to take the voluntary leaves......WOO HOO!!! Let's hope they don't all of a sudden change their minds!!
That would be good for you!! They just announced that we are going to cut 2500 jobs. Some frontline positions and some management. They offered a bunch of voluntary leaves that were actually pretty good and I heard that they will go super senior. Hopefully that is true and enough people take them that they won't have to furlough too many of us.
sigh. i wish i could afford a vacation right now. i am just DEAD broke. every last dime i have goes to my stinkin car and filling it up. where are you now?
