Transport, based in Northern California, formed in 2002 and fused alternative rock, indie rock and electronics creating a lush and multi-layered sound. Transport began by gaining a local following in Modesto, Ca and quickly branched out and toured mainly on the West Coast of The U.S. The band released a 4 track self titled demo and in 2003, Transport Won, "Best Alternative Rock Band" by The MAMA Association.
In 2004 Transport released their debut CD, "The Coefficient of Friction", Made a Music Video for the track, "Advantage Idiot" and played to a sold out crowd at The State Theater in their Hometown of Modesto, Ca. The band sold thousands of copies and continued to gain a larger fan base.
In 2006 the band released, "Sudden Oak Death", a 7 track EP and received great reviews from industry individuals as well as their devoted fans. The band was now playing to bigger crowds as well as performing with better known acts including Everclear, Josh Kelly, Fastball, Live, Vertical Horizon, and many more.
The next year and a half would see a few line-up changes and departures. In September of 2007, Lead Singer Nathan Penrose decided that Transport would finally come to an end and the band played their final show in Modesto, Ca to a packed all ages crowd.
The End.

Very very wonderful last show. The new music was all great. Loved it. Thanks for being such a great band. Really gonna miss the Live shows but at least you guys left a lot of great music to remember you by. I'll keep in touch. And I hope all of you do things that make you happy and are what you want to do.
Hey Transport, have fun at your final show tonight. The information about quitting the band came as quite a surprise. You've just recorded a new album, didn't you? It's sad. Well, I guess sometimes it's best to make a change and start going into a different direction and I'm sure you have your reasons for this decision. I wish all of you good luck for your future projects. Too bad I'll never get the chance to hear you live now, though. :/ I enjoyed your music (also the new "Through the Birch Tree" - sorry I didn't get a chance to comment on the song any sooner, btw). I hope all of your local fans will be joining you for the farewell show tonight! Take care, Kathy
Hate to see it be over... but everything happens for a reason. Just know that you'll be missed. Thanks for all the awesome music and shows. =) You guys are and always will be my fave band.
Well I must say that I am dissapointed to see you all stop playing but you gotta do what you gotta do right....We will check out the show for sure man. Let me know if you get a new project going. Would love to hear anything new. Nate
