Wild Rose (and the Thorns) plays an assortment of fiddle tunes from ancient Celtic and Scottish origins to early American Jigs and Reels, to Eastern European Klezmer, and to modern waltzes of mystical influence.
The group consists of four musicians:
Amy Shapiro on fiddle Beth Hogan on guitar allen lutins on clarinet, whistle, & percussions Tom Quigley on the keyboard
This group plays mostly for contra dances, but is open to playing other events as well.
The Brackney String Band
The Brackney String Band plays energetic old-time and Celtic music for contra dances and other events.
The members of the group are:

Square Deal
Square Deal is a four-piece ensemble that plays a mix of energetic tradition bluegrass tunes as well as a selection of pop and country songs done bluegrass style. The band offers both soaring vocal harmonies and sizzling instrumentals.

Susquhanna River Basin Band
The Susquehanna River Band plays a wonderful variety of old-time, folk, and bluegrass tunes that will get you singing along and tapping your feet. Singing along is very encouraged.

Westover Leftovers
Want to listen to some old-time, bluegrass, and newgrass music with a bit of a twist? Then come on out to hear the Westover Leftovers, which features a collection of multi-instrumentalists that will put on a new spin on some old tunes. Westover Leftovers are sure to please.

Brand New Music MySpace Website Created
There's a new Bluegrass Band in the work! Tom & Marie are joining forces with Rob Siegers and Jim MacWilliams to form a dynamic acoustic ensemble called 'Grassanova'. Plans are to play traditional bluegrass music as well as popular tunes done in a bluegrass/newgrass style. With Marie Shaver on acoustic bass guitar and Tom Quigley on acoustic guitar and vocals, this duet plays a selection of rock, country, bluegrass, folk, and blues. Often this duo invites guest musicians to their gigs. Tom & Marie are also members of the folk/bluegrass band Susquehanna River Basin Band, the bluegrass band Square Deal, and the acoustic variety band Westover Leftovers. In addition, Tom is a member of two contra dance bands; Wild Rose and Brackney String Band. And check out our newest band Grassanova.
