I'm influenced by anything and anyone that moves me to think differently, to question deeper, to try harder, to live more freely, to dream bigger, to love laugh cry breathe hurt and feel on a level of such extreme that fear becomes nonexistent, where every emotion is truly experienced to the point of exhaustion . . . when all that's left . . . is a better version of myself.
Sounds Like
"Always envied the trees, ever standing tall . . . not like me, on my knees, so close to fall." ~TJ (FALL)
"Stare out the window, out at this place, see my reflection but the look has changed." ~TJ (6:05 AGAIN)
..
"This resurrected heart, so long we've been apart, I travel not alone, on the road to home." ~TJ (SUN & MOON)
"Been confused I've been off track, been to hell but now I'm back, give me hope give me a sign, give me strength just give me time." ~TJ (GIVE ME TIME)
"Sometimes I just sit here all alone, I'm reminiscent of my sins and how I can atone / Sometime you know it gets to be so tough, to give and give and give and get back only that it's not enough." ~TJ (SOMETIMES)
"Justify the things you said, play the playback in your head / Validate the path you followed, you can't heal a heart that's hollowed." ~TJ (HOLLOWED)
"Never will I be so naive and vain, to mistake choice for fear just to soften the pain / I tore off the mask so I finally could see the game that was played, this charade was on me." ~TJ (MASCARADE)
"Does anybody know, which way the past will go / Does anybody care, which way to get me there." ~TJ (SUN & MOON)
"The dream is but a vision of what cannot be explained / Fact or simply fiction filled with passion or disdain / Of how we will interpret is of personal resolve / And a gift to hold the wonder of just how it will evolve." ~ TJ (DREAMS)
"Wide awake again, and I don't know who to blame . . . the pounding of my heart, or the pounding of the rain." ~TJ (RAIN)
"Have you ever wondered why it doesn't matter, how did we become so immune to the rage / Staring in the face of a dream that's been shattered, no one is fazed, we just turn the page." ~TJ (SEE IT EVERY DAY)
First off, thanks for taking the time to check out the site! Now, on to a little background info...TJ is a singer/songwriter from the Windy City with a vision and talent for creating lyrics that touch the heart and soul...and then give em a kick. She created the band JAVA and went on to rock the House of Blues for their debut and set the roof afire. JAVA soon after completed a full length CD, and they were officially on their way. Several songs were chosen for the soundtrack of the independent film "Casino's Corner" which was accepted in the Angel City Film Festival in Chicago and was shown at the Biograph Theatre. From there it went to Miami then off to Europe. TJ also had her music selected to be included on a trivia game to be distributed to over 150,000 bars nationwide. But her biggest honor was her song "Sometimes" being included on a compilation CD put together for the Illinois Department of Health's Anti-Smoking Campaign that was distributed to over 55,000 kids. After an incredibly successful run with her band she decided to branch out on her own. She began working and collaborating with some incredible musicians from Chicago and Nashville (many of whom you'll see on this page) and the transformation didn't take long. New songs are in the works...and the best is yet to come!
"You say that fairy tales are never as they seem...you take reality...I'll take the dream!"
I wrote this song for my brother Nick and his wife Jackie. It's the story of how they met . . .
AND MY LATEST SOURCE OF INSPIRATION:
"The little man who held my hand . . . and stole my heart!"
HERE IS MY BIGGEST / LITTLEST FAN GIANINA AND HER RENDITION OF "THE RIDE OF YOUR LIFE!!!" (This is what makes it all worthwhile!)
