Third Uncle is a Southern California based collective of musicians, painters, designers, and film makers.
99% of our work, starts through intense musical improvisation sessions. These improv sessions are then mixed and go through creative process in post that is anything less then conventional. Once the songs are sculpted, the group revisits the material, resulting in a sound that is rich and capable of limitless growth.
At times it is obvious that the sound consumes the group, and at other times, we control the sound. So, as you can tell, many factors go into our creative process, the moment of our surroundings, the way we feel that day, the weather, the world, art, you, me, everyone and everything.

I rent a lot of cars, but I don't always know everything about them. So a lot of times, I drive for like ten miles with the emergency brake on. That doesn't say a lot for me, but it really doesn't say a lot for the emergency brake. It's really not an emergency brake, it's an emergency "make the car smell funny" lever.
