About The Underground Railroad To Candyland
Photobucket "Sugar, We're Goin' Down" - MTV2 Award at the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards - Won
"Dance, Dance (Tyler Dunphy Kardance Mix)" - Favorite International Group at the 2006 MuchMusic Video Awards - Won
"Underground Railroad To Candyland" - Best New Artist at the 2006 Grammy Awards - Won
The song "Next Stop Coalinga" is nominated for Viewer's Choice and Best Group video for the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards. The band is competing along side friends The All-American Rejects and Panic! At the Disco........ Underground Railroad to Candyland spends much of their time slaying orcs and goblins in the LA basin and along the 110 and 5 Freeways. In battle, they are led by the ferocious and meticulous Mike Felix, supervised by Congo and text support is provided by the Jacks. Freedom is an interesting concept and, usually, they are fighting for it. However, these games are often played and not everyone is always sure of the outcomes. France also plays a big role when you can't sleep.
Luke Walton has been praised for being skilled in the fundamentals of basketball: positioning, timing, and teamwork. Many NBA experts and enthusiasts view Walton as a smart player of the game who has a high basketball IQ and one who understands the game of basketball deeply. He is a good and precise passer who knows how to operate on plays like a good point guard, and his shot selection is good. He is also considered as an all-around player. Aside from guard-like passing skills, he also stretches his range past the three-point line, rebounds well, and works hard to disprove the critics who doubted his athleticism.

from the la weekly:

Underground Road to Candyland at Alex’s Bar

Todd Congelliere flirted with pop music for more than a decade, but his punk roots kept him from committing to the genre until recently. The San Pedro resident dabbled in harmony on 1994’s Dance My Dunce by F.Y.P., a group that started as a hardcore band, then morphed into a pop-punk trio by the time of 2000’s Toys That Kill. The ex–professional skater continued with Toys That Kill, a still-active group that performs Buzzcocks-style punk. But that wasn’t enough, as Congelliere formed Underground Railroad to Candyland to perform covers in TTK’s downtime. The covers thing didn’t stick as the singer-guitarist wrote material that became Bird Roughs, a 12-track disc comprised of clean guitars, surf-influenced instrumentals, big hooks and a steady rhythm section. The album is the first release in Congelliere’s career that ditches dissonance to focus on power-pop delight, resulting in the culmination of a songwriter whose evolution continues to improve and inspire.
