The band was started by Pedro Freitas and Jorge Silva in February/2007. When the project started it was an acoustic/alternative side project because the two members were together in a band called Mind in Motion (Pedro Freitas was also in The Stereolight , a pop punk band).After spending some hours talking about the project , it was decided that The Truth About The Mind would be more than an acoustic side project so Pedro Freitas and Jorge Silva left their previous bands and recruited Décio Silva , a friend and former drummer from Mind in Motion and Luis Soares also a friend.The band started rehearsing and writing songs in the summer of 2007 and after a couple of months the band decided to recruit one more guitarrist, Fábio Matos ,a friend of the band. In the new years eve of 2007 The Truth About The Mind played their first show ever.In 2008 the band already played several shows.

Mary will be out for two gigs on the 31st of October and on the 1st of November. The venues are "Knust" in Hamburg and "Bastard Club" in Osnabrück. We're really looking forward to see many of you people there!
