The Stone Coyotes are a bare-bones rock family trio.
They have been taking the road less travelled ever since they gave back songwriter Barbara Keith's major label advance years ago and began searching for their own sound their own way in a cellar in Western MA.
With five songs featured in Elmore Leonard's novel, "Be Cool", they gained national attention, but it is the grass roots, word-of-mouth response to their music that continues their momentum.
Their music gets a lot of play on XM Satellite Radio (XCountry and Deep Tracks), and they tour through MA, NY, PA, OH and TX several times a year. The band's new album, VIII, is their eighth studio release. Available now at stonecoyotes.com through Paypal or from CDBaby.com. Also available on Amazon, ITunes, Rhapsody, Napster and others.

CHURCH OF THE FALLING RAIN
I'm finished with A Demon Awaits , just waiting for cover art now.
In the meantime, I'm researching for my new book. I took a guided walk yesterday to explore wild plants you can eat in New England. It was very interesting.
Somebody wrote "thank God for internet radio" because that's how they 'found' THE STONE COYOTES. I'll add my thanks - to college radio - because that's how I 'found' this awesome, rockin' band back in '99. I don't "XM" but I'm glad others are getting to know THE STONE COYOTES. Thanks - again and as always - for the music! Cap'n Barney ODD ROCK WMHB 89.7 FM www. wmhb. org
