.......................musically......................early ramones, early nirvana, early sabbath, the pixies, the moaners, early modest mouse, death from above 1979, the white stripes, the strokes, the black keys, muddy waters, heartless bastards, early led zeppelin, the hives, cream, the who, the kills, scout nibblet, the yeah yeah yeahs (sean dresses like her at least)..............
The Sheats were started in January of 2004, and were initally a 2 man unit developing a unique sound that referenced early punk, classic rock, and blues stylistically. The band made a name for themselves quickly in the club scene of Dayton Ohio, the spawning grounds for quite a few of the bigger indie acts in the nation. In January 2006 the band made some lineup changes and took some time off from playing shows to further develop their sound. In April the band finished a 5 track EP and added a bass player to fill out their sound. Now the band is focused on making some noise in the regional scene and is primarily booking shows in Cincinnati, but still play a show in Dayton from time to time for the home crowd.
Hey guys and Shelly: Good luck at your Nite Owl show tonight. I'm not going to be able to make it tonight because of band practice but I will try to make it out to the OE on Saturday.
Hey Sean & Shelly! Thanks for coming out to rock out for The Rebel Set's first show! It was nice to meet the both of you. We'll have to do a show together soon!
I love your new bass player. She's a hot rock star babe! Thanks for being a part of the event last night. I'm going to very happily donate $260 to the American Cancer Society tomorrow.
Later,
Gary
Despite my earlier predictions, I enjoy you guys with a bass player. If I were doing reviews this year, I'd make this revelation publicly known. Keep up the good work, bass and all.
Come and vote for us at the Canal Street PLayoffs Wednesday May 31st (tommorro) We need a lot of fans to help us advance. Thank you from Jet Kid Committee!!
Check it out....our goal is to get anyone and everyone who fits in the Indie Genre ..... We are called the Indie Music Project or for short "iMP" ..... our software will be available soon for the public but for us to be successful with the idea we need musicians who are ready for that next step .... we will offer more than 100 plays a day for free.....it will be listened to by americans all over the US and we hope to make our idea make it to the UK all in due time......We need MP3's so we can start the ball rolling...if you are still intrested then let me know....we are new and young, and inovative, we have what it takes to make it big....all we need is the musicians help and we can possibly make you rise with us.....We also interview bands that are intrested, in a podcast format which is available on-line at the future site not yet ready but underconstruction (indiemusicproject.com) ..... Every month we also have ratings online that determine who our 12 featured artist will be and we run the featured artist as the first song your hear when loging in to our program.....
"iMP" thanks you for your intrest and we hope to hear from you soon,
These guys rocked Elbo's last night! They'll rock it again November 4th, with a different set of bands next time. Thanks for warming up the crowd last night, and an extra thanks goes to your fans who stuck around to check out my set.
