ITFC SUPPORTERS CLUB SAXMUNDHAM BRANCH's Interests
General
Supporting the Mighty Town, and having a good time doing it - win, lose or draw.
Music
Definitely NOT Singing The Bloody Blues, that is the tiredest song in the world. Tom Hark got right on our wick as well, as I'm sure Chelsea Dagger will soon. Surely Fiesta by The Pogues or One Step Beyond by Madness would have been a better choice. Or how about, controversial this one, no music - just the crowd making it's own noise. It's a wild and crazy idea but it just might work.
Movies
Escape To Victory.
Television
The Championship, Match Of The Day, NOT our rubbish local TV coverage BBC Look East is just pants, and Anglia is, as everyone knows, outrageously biased towards Naaarrrrridge.
Match Of The Week was a 70's and 80's classic, introduced by jug-eared Gerry Harrison not least because we had highlights of our game nearly every week and we were good then.
Heroes
Sir Alf Ramsey, Sir Bobby Robson, George Burley, Ray Crawford, Ted Phillips, Andy Nelson, Jimmy Leadbetter, Mick Mills, Trevor Whymark, Allan Hunter, Kevin Beattie, Paul Cooper, Paul Mariner, John Wark, Roger Osborne, Arnold Muhren, Frans Thijssen, Terry Butcher, Russell Osman, Alan Brazil, Eric Gates, Jason Dozzell, Mick Stockwell, Mauricio Taricco, Keiron Dyer, Matt Holland, Jim Magilton, Marcus Stewart, Richard Wright, Tony Mowbray, Darren Bent, Owen Garvan
About me: We are the ITFC Supporters Club Saxmundham and District Branch and we run regular away trips, usually one a month, doing our best to keep coach prices as affordable as possible. We pick up locally in Leiston, Saxmundham, Benhall, Wickham Market, Ipswich and Stowmarket. We can’t guarantee the right result on the pitch but we always have a good laugh on the coach trips.
We also hold quizzes and other social activities, and have now raised in excess of £7000 for the St. Elizabeth Hospice. Many guest speakers have attended our meetings over the years including: David Sheepshanks, Jim Magilton, John Wark, Simon Milton, George Burley, Matt Holland and Kevin Beattie.
Membership fees are £8 for Adults, £6 for OAP’s and £4 for Juniors, although Junior memberships are free if joining with a paying adult. Upon joining all members will receive a discount voucher to be used when travelling away with the branch.
If you would like to join, or require more information, please send us a message and we will forward an application form to you. Cheers.
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who wants to join the branch.
