The Ruckus was formed in early 2006 by several area musicians who shared a common love of ska music, and a desire to rock out. The result was like nothing anyone had ever seen in this part of Kansas since the mid - 90's reign of Ruskabank.
The Ruckus has taken the area by storm, playing sold-out shows with bands like Pomeroy, being a featured band in the city of Manhattan's "Arts In The Park" concert series, and taking first place in the Kansas State University OPUS battle of the bands two years in a row.
Their high energy shows feature music which is an eclectic mix of ska, punk, rock, folk, reggae, dixieland, and jazz giving audiences of all ages and musical tastes something to like, and a reason to get up and dance.
The band is currently in the studio recording their second full length album which will feature about 10 brand new tracks, plus some new re-recorded favorites from their highly successful 2006 release "Get Serious".
