Sounds Like
Something familiar with a hint of something different.
Initially the group formed as kind of a folk act with Kyle and Corbett penning the tunes and performing them on dueling Gibson Jumbos. They played at Pete's Candy Store in Brooklyn and Lakeside Lounge to positive reviews. But something was missing. Then along came a charismatic guitarist who really liked the material. That was and still is Chris Flood. Chris took the reigns as lead guitarist and lead recruitor. Chris, who eventually became sick of counting time, brought in Brian to play the drums. Brian auditioned with sticks and bucket; needless to say, he was immediately invited to join the group (bucket optional). The last of the Rivals joined recently. Chris Sinderson is his name, and he brought the groove with him along with his bass guitar, piano skills, and knowledge of exotic beverages. And thus the Rivals journey from acoustic folk duo to all-out guitar band is finally complete.
