The Master Musician's of hop-frog is a joint project of members of The hop-frog Kollectiv, a Los Angeles based grouping of artists formed in 1999 focused on experimental arts, poltical dissent and fever dream realization. The hop-frog Kollectiv are also the creators of Thee Dung Mummy, experimental arts gatherings started in 2003.
With MMoHF you'll find psychedelic arabic guitars, saz, toy accordians, toy keyboards, Indian melodies, experimental electronics, snakecharmer flutes, etc. mixed with broken beats and deranged senses.
We have released 3 albums, 2 in France, and have toured Europe on two occasions. Weve also played with such luminaries as Rose McDowell (Coil, Current 93, Strawberry Switchblade, Spell, etc.), Joe Budenholzer (Foetus, Current 93, Backworld), Steve Mackay (The Stooges, Violent Femmes), Dlek, Faun Fables, David J (Bauhaus, Love & Rockets, etc.), Cheb I Sabbah, Not Breathing, and many more.
