"Traveling the quickest route from Point A to B requires a journey through the mind of
The Living Sea, a Boston-based rock and roll railroad of an ensemble that blends scratch acid vocal harmonies and angular guitars driven by echoing soundscapes and impulsive breaks. Self-described as "a thirteen year old gothic chick's favorite band, our name scrawled in Bic on her notebook,"Lunch Record darlings The Living Sea takes the best elements of Daryl Palumbo's epic compositions and dresses it up for the midnight ball." -the Pill
"Uneven but kinetic" - Sarah Tomlinson @ The Boston Globe

Featuring members of CLOUDS, OCTAVE MUSEUM, HYDRONAUT and PET GENIUS, and produced by Stephen Brodsky of CAVE IN and NEW IDEA SOCIETY, "Live! At Club Awesome" is a 11-song STUDIO recording of the band playing live at their rehearsal space.
Boston's Thee Electric Bastards, whose expansive psych-pop falls somewhere in among Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd, the Zeppelin end of the White Stripes catalogue (but only if it was scored by an Elephant Six band), and Yoshimi-type Flaming Lips. And if that seems like an awful lot of territory, well, they cover a hell of a lot of it. With songs about futuristic life (Robots Do Not Rock) blatant machismo (The Peepin' Song, Play The Fool), alcoholism and mental health (Millennium Blues, Black Jets), The Bastards have allowed the listener a peek into their sordid little world, where society's ills and fears are celebrated. All of The Bastards songs are well crafted slices of weirdness, with compelling breaks in the music that are sometimes jarring in effect. It harkens back to the days when rock music was more experimental, and less formulaic.
well it's about damn time we are friends again. i never can remember who's my friend again and who isn't. thanks for reminding me. awesome to see you at aaron's weddin'!
You have a point about the Monster Mash, but like I said, if you are gonna rip a song off for your entire band's sound it was a really kick-ass choice. Peace, Homie
*except* Yeah, I'm an English major, and yeah, Thor let himself go and started eating too much KFC. But Neil was still an asshole, and what's with him trying to look like Simon Pegg in "Hot Fuzz"?
