Characterized by a union of unpretentious boyo charm and clever songcraft, the Knast have been gifting Seattle with their wit and rev-ups for a little over a year now. Their three man sound is lead by guitarist/vocalist AJ Delange, whose fluid rhythm and hook-laden leads serves as the most tasteful of complements to a rhythm section that recalls both Bunn. E. Carlos and Ronnie Lane. Yet while the Knast generously reference past masters, their material bears equal likeness and debt to the contemporary trends of the British new wave, rendering their sound both timeless and exciting, familiar and relevant. The unique nature of their material is also impressively matched by their prolific output as songwriters, continually surprising listeners old and new. 2008 should prove an exciting year for the group as Antarctic Records will be releasing their debut 7” single, “Best Laid Plans”.

I truly couldn't help but dance like a wasted pre-teen girlie maniac and scream a bunch. What a blast!!! LOVED IT!!!
