Jennifer Spector and husband David Tieman moved to the Puget Sound area in 2006 to begin taking the Northwest by storm. Jennifer was one of Phoenix, Arizona's most popular folk musicians and David was a highly respected jazz musician & fellow acoustic composer. They now perform as a newly named power duo “The Hayburners”. These long-time music partners take their audiences on a bicycle built for two of award-winning music, strong vocal harmonies and wedded bliss. They perform all-original rootsy Americana, Folk and Jazz tunes with excellent musicianship and lively banter.
They will release their self-titled CD, The Hayburners in JUNE 2008. It features 5 songs from each of this talented pair and features special guest artists from both Arizona and Washington. This includes Mike Smith, pedal steel (Gatlin Brothers) and Zak Borden, mandolin (Grammy Nominated Kate MacKenzie, Rachel Harrington) among others.
This year, Jennifer Spector received her first songwriting award in her new home state of Washington at the Tumbleweed Music Festival in Richland, WA. She was a national finalist at the 2004 prestigious Telluride Bluegrass Festivals’ Troubadour Competition for songwriting and twice at the Tucson Folk Festival’s national honors. She has shared the stage with folk-greats David Wilcox and Christine Lavin and toured regularly around the Southwest. Besides being recognized a great songwriter himself, David Tieman’s guitar playing was high in demand live and in the studio around the Phoenix Valley. He currently performs regularly with the SOS (Sounds of Swing) Big Band of Bellevue, WA and multiple jazz/rock combos in and around the Puget Sound area.
Hi there you two lovelies! Thanks for the hello. Doing well. big as a mountan! I need to get in on your song contest action! How's it all going? xo, Eva
Thank you so much for being a friend to INDIE INTERNATIONAL and supporting us in our first semi-annual contest. You are part of the indie music revolution! Good luck on all you do with your music!
It was really nice to meet you two and a very pleasant evening altogether. Thank you so much for inviting us!
Next time, maybe you can stop by our house for lunch first? That's our big meal of the day. That way we could talk in peace and maybe play a game of crouquet or something. David can even sit down if he wants to. Sorry he had to stand.
Meanwhile, I posted a blog about last night just now.
