Jimmy the Squirrel is a 5 piece ska punk band from London/Nottingham, taking influences from ska, punk and reggae bands from all over the world. Having played together since February 2005 the band's sound has evolved through punk and ska into a more stripped down ska/reggae/punk sound in the vein of Bedouin Soundclash, Babar Luck, and the King Blues. Jimmy's formative months saw regular gigs and parties in Nottingham which branched out to other cities and areas as the band's confidence and momentum grew, taking in gigs with The Big, King Blues, Catch-It Kebabs, Fandangle, P. O Box and Mouthwash, and a tour with Babar Luck along the way
