We are a London-souled band. We are anarcho-democrats and we are rigorous. Off your knees, comrade. Before we went public, we took the precaution of writing 500 songs. Now that we're fully warmed up (and unfurrowed by anxiety over that difficult 17th album), we've recorded a couple of EPs, one called (in a psychedelic lurch of inspiration) "Extended Play", and an acoustic one called (in a psychedelic... etc etc) "Acoustic". Then, suddenly, we recorded "I Love You, I Hate You, May I Buy You A Drink?", a 4 song EP comprising a love song, a protest song, a drinking song and a hymn. It appalled the guilty and made mad the free, which was the precise intention. We are now appearing, always pre-announced (we are polite - would you like 3 cigarettes?), in London venues/bars (both miztvah and tref boozehells). We are Armstrong, Kid, Hatter, Therapist, Pensen. We are the people who are in The Footage. And we're done. Follow us out. On your knees. Quackquackquack!
Check out www.thefootage.co.uk
for lots of information and music (all of it free, if only because its quality surpasseth all pricing).
Anything we've ever done or do is now by law available to purchase below for a mere £3.50 (£4.50, if you ask nicely). We'll post to anywhere in the UK, o'er land and ocean without rest.
Cult With No Name - cited by legendary UK journalist Mick Mercer as his discovery of the year - proudly present their brand new 14 track album, 'Careful What You Wish For'. Mama Shamone – THESE GUYS AREN’T PLAYING LIVE (except one acoustic) EXCEPT AT GLASTO FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR! http://www. myspace. com/mamashamone “Put Mama Shamone on at any venue and they are likely to take the roof off, this was one of the best live shows I’ve seen in years - certainly one of the best in London. In my opinion these guys are destined for greatness, it felt like I was witnessing history being shaped-something was just so right about what they were doing up there.” Vibe Bar
We Yes You No www. myspace. com/weyesyouno “We Yes You No sing about the end of the world, the end of everything. But in an apocalypse that would sound like this I would buy god’s last EP” – Big City Redneck
Language http://www. myspace. com/languageuk “"The verbosity of funk, the poetic twang of intelligent pop. The bridge between Franz Ferdinand and Smashing Pumpkins perhaps" – Bugbear
Hey! Hope you are doing good. I wanted to let you know about a show i'm doing in London on Sunday, June 1st.
I'm touring with Tommy Allsup. He played guitar with Buddy Holly, and is the guy playing on songs like "Heartbeat", "It's So Easy", etc, etc.....he is 76 and still going strong.
He is a character.
Anyway, i would love to see you at the show. I think as a fellow musician that you will really appreciate seeing Tommy play, and listening to his stories! He is THE guy that flipped the coin with Ritchie Valens.
If you want to see Tommy in action....check out my blog. There is a video from last week in Nashville from the studio.
Take care, the music is sounding great, and i hope to see you soon!
Sincerely,
Kevin Montgomery

After 18 months of songwriting thrills, spills, chilled drinks and temperamental strange beautiful mentalist Shelley like waif and stray musicians baring their warm hearted souls at weekly music night ’Myspace or Yours’. The folks from SONGWRITERS ANONYMOUS are kickstarting a monthly residency at The Vibe Live with a showcase for the acts they’ve nominated for this years Indy Music Awards.

The Chap http://www.myspace.com/thechap “Like Underworld if they’d decided to be a lo-fi rock and roll combo instead of a stadium-selling dance act. Stunning, it’s ridiculous, but in a great way.” Vice Mag
The Guillotines http://www.myspace.com/headswillrockandroll “Snarling spunk-punkers The Guillotines come across like Gallows meeting the Rat Pack, with a flame-haired Lauren Bacall wielding a bass, outside a Brighton S&M shop psyching themselves up to buy leather gimp masks. Wanton sax appeal, voodoo rock'n'roll magnetism and growling dirty lounge” NME
Creepy Morons http://www.myspace.com/thecreepymorons “The thunderous blues crunch of The Creepy Morons first materialised in 2005 having risen from the ashes of Hot Tradition and The Beatings. I know its rubbish when I merely regurgitate information from a myspace, but when a band describes its influences as ‘Women, Drinking and Death’, and their sound as ‘Drunken monkeys assembling an Ikea butchers block’, I’d be daft not to.” Jon Hillcock, XFM
DJ: Dirty Omar http://www.myspace.com/dirtyomar

Hey! Hope you are doing well......if you are not playing yourself tonight......i'm playing the Half Moon Putney.....would love to say hello?!
Al Perkins is with me, and a great band called Shurman.
Anyway, take care and hope to see you.
