The Flanks got together one summery Brooklyn afternoon in 2002. A portent in the guise of an elderly wren landed on the haft of Tom's guitar, and a single jug shattered on the window sill. The very first song we spackled together was a rendition of 'Salty Dog' and it sort of went downhill from there. Nowadays we use all manner of euphemisms for that type of thing.
Our first album, You and Me and the People Who Can't Go Home, is now available on all seven continents. (Yes, you guessed correctly: even the penguins have it.) It is worth its weight in multilayered liquid polycarbonate.
