The Crusher is the definitive PUNK ROCK and ROLL band. Formally known as Jones Crusher, the band has decided to change its name since two new members, Tom CRUSHER Cavanagh and Jim CRUSHER Idol have joined. The band is at the forefront of the Punk Rock scene because of their incredible musicianship, fantastic songwriting and explosive stage presence. The band has stormed stages and rocked audiences at legendary venues such as CBGB's, The Continental, Loaded, The Crazy Donkey, Metasin and has performed at festivals and showcases around the tristate area. The band has released several cds and ep's but broke their boundries with the success of their last cd BLUE COLLAR STORIES. The band will be releasing a new cd at the end of 2005.

What Can I say about Jones Crusher thata hasn't been said before? If you've been reading Aural Fix for any amount of time, you know this publisher agrees with John Holmes of Punk Magazine, Rich Black of Under the Volcano, Rob Rash and DKline of WUSB and any good purveyor of great old school punk knows; musicianship and showmanship of Jones Crusher is unparalled on Long Island.
Okay what you may not know...they're not called Jones Crusher anymore. Just the Crusher now. And multi-instrumentalist, genre chameleon Tom "BENTPUSSYCAT" Cavanagh is now on bass. Yeah you read that right. Who knew? Well Sean Sanders on guitar has his perfect foil on bass.
Unchanged is the blistering punk rock and roll with gargae rockslant at full throttle. Looney stage antics and props, corny jokes in between songs. Don't beleive me go to their next show!
