Here at the Conservatory we have an intense program that teaches you everything you need to know about analog and digital recording, 5.1 surround mixing, live sound, post and commercial production, and so much more! Your education is reinforced with certifications backed by major manufacturers such as Digidesign (ProTools), Apple (Logic), JBL, T.C. Electronic, SIA (Smaart) and more.
As part of the program, our students are required to complete a 280 hour internship at a facility of their choosing, giving them crucial real world experience and a foot in the door of the audio industry. How successful are our grads? Extremely successful, with over 300 gold and platinum records under their belts, and even several Grammys!

With such a large number of alumni on here, we’ve decided to utilize this opportunity to try and bring together as many past, present, and future students as possible. hey, so I'm moving down to Arizona to start class August 15th and I'm going to be staying at an apartment complex in Mesa where about 80 or 90 other Cras kids are living. Rent's as cheap as it gets, I'm getting a 450 sq. ft unfurnished studio which I hope to put a bunk bed in. The complex looks clean, and close to necessities in town. I'd love to find a room mate to split the place. If you're frugal, like me, this will be a sweet place to be. Rent is as low as you will possibly find for luxury, let alone any, apartments- at about $270 a month plus Utility $(HEAT ELECTRIC ECT.)

I don't think many people try this maneuver but its worth a shot if we can save 2.5 - 3 grand each.

Just getting an unfurnished room saves about 800 dollars or more (10 or more months).
At the loss of a bed that many people have slept on, a table and chairs (that I can buy for under $60) and a tv(I wouldn't watch anyway) you get a whole room to compromise and still get a full eletric kitchen. Also there's covered/gated parking at least 1 if not 2 pools(I'm not sure), good views, a quiet, comfortable environment and much more.

I'm going to this school in September to a damn good education, and I know that this facility will assist me with what I want to do with my life. Even though they will help me, I want to get ahead of the game. How do you get into the trip-hop/rap biz? I write my own original sounding beats, and I want to know how to get big with this sound. I have a house in Ahwatukee that we rent out on a room by room basis mostly to CRAS students. The house is 2600 sq ft with a pool and a basement. Can you believe a so-called engineer said this to me when he lost my guitar session files and the entire 6th song of my band's CD? "I tell all my customer that IT IS NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY TO SAVE THEIR FILES. I did not sell you hard drive space nor guarantee that I would indefinitely hold onto to any files. Quite frankly, you're lucky that I even had some of them. I do a lot of sessions and don't remember what we did and didn't do, and I make no apologies about that because it did take 9 months."

hi cras students. i graduated cras jeez it seems like forever even tho it was a year ago, but hey that's all good. i'm here to talk to whoever wants to listen/ read. he he my name is britt and i'm working at a studio in washington in the tri cities, i am in charge of recruiting interns among other things. we have many things for you to do, we have things like computer building, pro tools, post production and much more in that department, digital, and live sound. the only thing that we don't have id surround sound but im working on that ;) so anyone that is interested plz let jason the intern coordinator in tempe know, or email me. we also have room for hiring. we have apts right above the studio if you need a place to stay. we own those so it will be convenient. so if you are interested plz let me or jason know. it's easy to get a job up here we have great weather and the cost of living is so much better then az. so let me know and i look forward to meeting you.
