..... OK, the walk of shame through the "Tunnel of Wedgies" for those poor saps who've also been labelled Loonies in the past:
Bass-turds: Kev R. Spandit (now in India, when we last heard), Ben Dur (ex-Eastfield/Dangerfields/Fields of the Nephilim/Strawberry Fields/W.C. Fields), The World-Famous Nuf (dart-player extraordinaire, resident of Horrabridge, Devon), Goz (ex-Oi Polloi/Disorder/Substandard/Snap-Her/Disruptive Element... now with Active Slaughter), Darren Johns (Crazy Arm), "Wild" Johnny Carter (runs a recording studio - April Music, still in Plym).
Guits: Dr Paul Tax (now a doctor in Aberdeen), Sean O'Porno (eco-warrior in Kernow), Jessi Fivestrings (Eastfield forever), Aaron Jumper (completely lost touch, lucky blighter), "Blummin'" Press Allen (The Filth), Sam Ladiesmann (Philosophy student and ocassional stand-in guit and potential substitute drum-geek), Oliver Large'un (Plymouth Musician Co-op geezer/Koala Attack (who publicise ex-Loony status... oh dear)), "Dirty" Gav Sanchez (barman par excellence at Kitty O'Hanlan's), Yaga (ex-Disorder/Oi Polloi), Graham May (Loci/Emergency Hollis/ex-Valium 10), "Dancin'" Dave Worth (running Heathrow Airport, pretty much single-handedly).
Those who've filled-in on the drum-stool and waived their hands about in an impromptu manner: Josef Porta (Blyth Power/Red Wedding/ex-Zounds/ex-The Mob), Taf (Disorder), Paul Badger (The Chineapple Punx), Tinny (Flyboy), The Love Doctor (ex-Oi Polloi/Disorder), Andy Griswald (the Dangerfields).
Others: Gob Dylan (Harmonica), Dick Lucas (Keyboards - sometimes busks with bands such as Citizen Fish and Subhumans).

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO HEAR US FOR? AIN'T LOOKING AT US BAD ENOUGH?!
If you wanna hear/dowload/add any of our mouldy oldies go to either www.myspace.com/plymouthpunxpicnic for "Charlie Harper" or http://groups.myspace.com/ciderpunks for "Save Our Cider" or "Taunton Exhibition"... or get a copy of our 'bum (you don't need to buy it, but if you can't find a geek who'll admit to owning a copy, then www.ruptured-ambitions.freeservers.com has plenty... they don't advertise the fact, but they have- on CD and vinyl too, for you retro types).
It seems that www.myspace.com/busstationloonies doesn't play the 2 songs it promised... No idea who set it up, but bless 'em, they dun it wrong.... anyway, back to our flapdoodle: the Bus Station Loonies ...
12 years old and still wetting the bed
As any one living in Plymouth will wearily tell you, ThE bUs sTAtiOn LoOniEs didn't split-up, they just stopped playing anywhere else for a while.
Tony Popkids was juggling with 3 jobs and a couple of bananas and Chris "Felcher" Wheelie got all weak and frail, following the bands' insane but amusing world record attempt at the most gigs (25) played in 12 hours (they dun it). And so, he took to his bed for a while, rising only for the ocassional local gig.
Since that surreal and longest day of their lives, Fatlegs Hancock and Wild Johnny Klepto were replaced on guit and bass respectively, by a bevy of beauties including, no less than 3 Eastfield members (Jessi Fivestrings, Sam Ladiesman and Ben Dur), Goz (Oi Polloi/Disorder etc), Dirty Sanchez's "Dirty" Gav Sanchez, and Dick Lucas (Subhumans/Citizen Fish) making the (very) odd appearence ..boards.
Now, settled and happy, messers Popkids and Wheelie can proudly announce their successful union with Steve S.Punk (S Punk 3) and Angus Old (The Nowhere Inn). For the first time, Little Chrissy is the baby of the band.
A new album (with the emphasis on the second syllable) is to be recorded in Spring 2007 (yeah, right... maybe 2008). The first CD/LP (yup, we still got vinyl for all you diehards out there... less tracks but warmer sound) "Mad Frank's Zonal Disco" is still up for grabs, just ask 'em at www.ruptured-ambitions.freeservers.com It ain't listed, but that's 'cos they're, quite rightly, embarrassed to have it in stock and on their label. The new long-player will include such new delights as "Death By Wedgie", "Hippy Bollocks", "Wetting the Bed", "The Eye of the Beer Holder", "Sticks and Stones", "Cool Britannia Uber Alles", "Fancied By People", "Pie Fight" and "Up Yours, Suckers"... plus, the obligatory ruined cover versions (although, we're thinking of improving upon a Disorder track, just to get our own back for their version of "Save Our Cider").
Late July/Early August 2007 will mayhap see the lads 'on the road' again, touring anywhere that'll have us. Any help, or offers we can't refuse, please get in touch via this site. For a real in-depth and long-winded history of The 'Loonies, take a peek at www.bus.station.loonies.00band.com but, it's not really worth it. Now, Chris's solo cheezy keyboard project, Harakiri Karaoke... that's another matter entirely.
New waffle!
The Second alBUM is done!!! Should be out by September 2008, entitled "Midget Gems", contains a measley 11 tracks, but every one little nugget: Down on the Farm/Fancied by People/Cool Britannia Uber Alles/Puppet life/Hippy Bollocks/Sicks and Stones/Rip Van Disney/The Ballad of Chasey lane/Pie Fight/Death by Wedgie/Up Yours, Suckers!
We'll pester the hell outa you when it's finally out, don't you fret.
Piss Off, Angus Old - it was a pleasure. Axe-God Angus has flown the cuckoo's nest to relocate in Thailand. However, we've not got shot of him yet and he'll be making a return 7th Sept 2008 at The Plymouth Punx Picnic. Meanwhile, we've already snaffled guitarist number 9 (oh yes) from Plymouth Puks DENADA, in the shape of the wonderful Chris Denada (don't worry, he'll soon ge a fitting loonies' name christened).
ello guys, just a quick note to ask if you guys can play on the 19th and all that, i was chatting to chris about it last night but he might not remember lol i was also wondering if your latest victim/band member fancied playing with denada? cheers guys :)
Members of Rising Tide Plymouth/Anarcho Folko have gone and got themselves in court after a rather jolly protest against E$$O, now we need your support (and cash!). Should be a great gig including the first performance from No World Borders (members of Anarcho Folko, The Directors, Collective Responsibility) and two hours of dubstep DJing from DSM, so get your electro-skanking booties on and come down!
Are the Plymouth and Torquay Punks gonna come out to play?
How could they not when we have the self proclaimed almighty gods of Punk Rock SHRAPNEL SUNTAN headlining these nights of raucous mayhem and disorder with local favourites HIV & The Positives, Justin Credible and the Droogs and the amazing Mr Mike Porter supporting what A NIGHT!
The 1 more tbc didn't confirm so if you fancy a gig and can play for free let me, Mo @ Punk Attack or Luke Soap Suds & PVA know.....
Hey there Loonies, if you want to watch some great local punk bands whilst supporting a good cause then why not come along to this! Would be great to see you there :-)
