Bio

The Black Market have played by their own rules since their formation in 2005.
The release of the albums ‘Subtle as a Brick’ (Jul 2005) and the highly acclaimed ‘To All Corners of the Globe’ (Dec 2006) helped cement The Black Market as one of Australia’s most loved punk rock bands. 2007 saw the three marketeers touring relentlessly across Australia and New Zealand and frequenting playlists on Triple J nationally and 4zzzFM, FBI, 3RRR, SWR FM and many more locally.
The Mohammad Smith EP and the addition of multi-instrumentalist Philthy Phil Travato to the live show sees the band in the finest form of their careers, and the ‘Mohammad Smith in Australia Tour’ sees the band’s unique take on roots infused punk, 80’s style rock, ska & reggae reaching futher than ever before.
