    Christopher Moore's Interests
GeneralI like big books and I like to read And I really must concede When I'm all up in those pages It makes me feel outrageous I LIKE BIG BOOKS! Oh, and I also enjoy photography and art.
MusicI listen almost exclusively to acid jazz, ambient groove, and chilly rhythms when I'm writing. I like Baby Mammoth, Afterlife, Zero 7, and Audio Lotion. When I'm not writing I listen to all sorts of stuff, from AC/DC, to Foo Fighters, to Goo Goo Dolls, to Gershwin, to John Prine and John Hiatt
MoviesI like cheesy horror movies and big splashy movies where stuff gets blown up. I also like movies where the dialogue is actually carefully crafted and almost play-like. Whit Stillman's Barcelona comes to mind. My all time favorite movie is Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
TelevisionMonk, Deadwood, The Daily Show, Entourage, Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives -- most of the shows I like get cancelled.
BooksI like funny books above all, but there just aren't that many truely funny books. Lately I've been reading Mil Millington and Bill Bryson for humor, John Connelly for suspense, and Haruki Murakami because he's craaaaaaaaaazy. My favorite book is Cannery Row by John Steinbeck.
HeroesMark Twain, Kurt Vonnegut, Tom Robbins, Douglas Adams, John Steinbeck, and big Bill Shakespeare.

Hi, I'm Christopher Moore, the author of almost ten novels, including Lamb and A Dirty Job. i received a copy of A Dirty Job as a christmas gift from my sort of mother-in-law and have since read 7 of your books in as many months. you have quickly worked your way into my list of favorite authors. you should feel honored. and not only have you garnered mention on my myspace page, as well as in my blog, but i also coerced a bunch of my friends into reading A Dirty Job for the book club i run. you've achieved a whole new level of awesome that i bet you didn't even know existed.

I've been loitering a local rest home trying to get in on daily badminton games, because of a loss I suffered to a one Harold Palowski several months ago. My friends keep telling me to let it go, but the home is too close to my territory.

Thanks for the add. I'm a new Harper Perennial author, reaching out to some of Harper Perennial’s book-loving friends.

BEING WRITTEN is my first novel, and it will be released on September 9. It’s the story of a man who knows he’s a minor character in a book and the lengths to which he’ll go to win a bigger part.

You can find out more about the novel in this one-minute video, on my MySpace profile, and at www. williamconescu. com. Thanks again!

I have read lamb, fluke, practical demon keeping, lust lizard and last night I finished the love nun. You are by far my favorite author and I intend on reading all of your books. I must say that the island of the sequined love nun is my favorite so far. I especially loved the ending. I pass your books on to everyone I know and I hope you never stop writing. Lots of love.

Just finished listening to Lamb, Chris. Wonderful tale. Fisher Stevens has such range! You've got a solid fan in Far Northern California. Can't wait for the next ride.

Someone gave me "A Dirty Job" for my birthday in paperback.

When I discovered it glowing in the dark in my office, I wondered what the hell the green glow was on the wall given it was sitting on my desk near the wall. When I saw the cover glowing, I couldn't stop laughing.
