Since there are a ton of requests to get shows booked here, we probably wont get around to responding to you. We only book shows for friends these days due to the time and effort it takes to make them happen.
This Wednesday roundabout 1030 p.m., Mr. Dale Watson will be playing some damn near perfect, Bakerfield sound-ish, honky tonkin hard country music at Lee's Liquor Lounge. I heart it so much I've decided to actively pimp it despite having no vested interest whatsoever. It's fifteen bucks, but I figure they'll let a house in for free if it can actually get itself across town and through the doors of the bar.
FAGGOT, the best band in Minneapolis, will be playing live in the theater of the 9:30 screening of TROMA'S NEWEST masterpiece, POULTRYGEIST night of the chicken dead. POULTRYGEIST was directed by TROMA president and co-founder Lloyd Kaufman, who will be presenting the film in person!
The show is Friday, Feb 15th at the Saint Anthony Main Theater - 115 Main street SE. There will be an after party featuring Metal Legends IMPALER and local heros TRAILER PARK QUEEN at STASIUS bar in NE Minneapolis....

We need to set up some fundraiser shows. We love the Alamo, it cant die on acconut of one stupid cocksucker. If there are any bands out there who wanna play a fundraiser show or know of a venue we can hold it at, let us know. Long live the alamo.
So much for the punk scene in the twin cities. My suggestion is a paypal account to raise money for the bill. I'm sure we could raise it in no time, and that way we could all help keep this wonderful house going. We may never be invited to play again, due to our lack of knowing when covering certain songs could be taken the wrong way, but it's been my favorite place to hear new music since I've been in the cities. Ever since I was invited by Zak to come check out a show and I saw "PADDY" on the wall, I've loved the culture, the music, and the people that have come with the house. If this ends, we're all fucked.
