The Agrestix formed because we were a group of friends who had nothing much to live for other than playing music. We wanted to bring straight up, punk rock to the scene which seemed to lack the appeal we craved at the time. When we started in 2004 some people liked us, most people hated us. The band made a start locally in the midst of the quad city punk scene of Iowa and Illinois. Not a very large punk scene but growing steadily. After recording a 3 song E.P. "Welcome to Hell" we joined to Charged Records which released the single on vinyl. Around this time the band continued to play locally, regionally and went on tour in summer of 2007 playing mostly the eastern states. We really want to get out to the western part of the country and hope to do so. Man come on at least a final show! So we can play with you all at least once. Its a sad thing to see you go. You played the very first show I went to. Oh the good ol'days.
