!1984! Stupid Big Brother, ha.
Currently I'm reading Brave New World.
Heroes
It's extremely rare that someone gains my trust, but these three people not only managed to do so, but continue to prove that human beings are capable of genuine motives. I admire them endlessly.
My older sister, Sarah, is very important to me, and honestly, I wouldn't be who I am right now if she hadn't played such an important role in my life. I really wish that more sibling relationships were like ours, so I suppose we got pretty lucky. Things between us growing up were definitely not always so smooth. I don't know what finally hit us, but somehow we decided that being each other's sister was actually fun! Haha. Starting in my middle school and her high school years, we became extremely close in a very short amount of time. We adopted the label of 'best friends' and spent as much time as we could together. Sarah and I do all those things that come with the cliche of being someone's best friend; we finish each other's sentences, have tons of inside jokes, and basically read each other's minds. Our differences from an outsider's point of view are obvious and there are a lot of them, but when you line up our personalities side-by-side, we're very similar in some ways because we grew up so close to one another and shared the same experiences. My sister is my hero, and I hope she'll eventually recognize that it's a position I don't give to many very easily, and that she deserves it fully. I love you, Sarah!
I was lucky enough to grow up with perhaps the most intelligent and selfless person I'll ever come across throughout my entire life, my best friend, Roz. She knows the true meaning of sacrifice and humility; one that most people simply choose to ignore and are too selfish to understand. Roz was raised in a big family where caring for others took priority over self-serving, and that's how she's always lived her life--caring for others. She's wanted to be a surgeon since she was young, and anyone who knows Roz knows she'll do it, because she's capable of anything she chooses to persue. When Roz moved away, my world turned upside-down, and to tell the truth, the effects still haven't worn off completely. I often overlook and deny that there are actually people with real love in their hearts and good intentions, and even in the most hopeless of times, Roz is right there by my side, reminding me that I am worthy of love and that our friendship and my life isn't something to waste. That's something I don't think I'll ever be able to thank her enough for. It's so rare to share the genuine and guaranteed friendship that we have. No matter what distance is put between us or what stage of life we're in, Roz's friendship will always be priceless to me.
I have a life-preserver. It's compact size so I can whip it out wherever I go or whenever I find the need for it. I like to call it, 'Michelle'. Dude, there seems to be a common theme among my best friends--they're humble. Michelle shares a house with basically a bagillion other humans, and never complains. She puts aside her wants before everyone else's needs, and her compassion for others is endless. I look up to her immensely and admire her patience and really, her sanity. She's gone through more than anyone her age should have to deal with, and for this, she continues getting wiser. I'm convinced one day she'll be totally resilient to the world--tough gal she is. On top of all that sappy meaningful stuff, she's downright GORGEOUS. Michelle, don't ever get down on yourself. You're the prettiest thing in the world. Any guy is lucky to have even rested his eyeballs on ya. I have so much hope for you. You're going to have such a successful future. (I asked Miss Cleo herself, she agrees.) If there's one thing I feel like I never say enough to you missy, it's thank you. You build me up when I turn to petty mush. I look to you as my little sister, and I treasure our friendship and your role in my life. I love you! ...Nutsack.
Fuzzy aminals make it allll better.
I have consistently eerie dreams, and I really like them.
Manikins are radical. I love making art out of them and/or slaughtering them.
I go to art school or something. They didn't know where else to put me.
Extremes are pretty common among my personality. For instance, I'm either a total recluse, or ultra-outgoing. In any circumstance I manage to be increasingly awkward socially.
There are far too many photos on my MySpace page.
Apparently that means I'm either a pack-rat or totally narcissistic.
My memory traces back to yesterday, maybe.
I forget everything always ever all the time forever totally...completely.
I am 1/2 of a superhero duo with Arianne. We fight Godtopus.
I make up the 'anarchy' element, she's 'equality'.
Often I pretend I live in any other decade than the current, for very legitimate reasons.
Truth is, I can grow a taste for just about anything really.
For months/years, I've been taking time trying to get to understand where I stand on issues.
It's been a long road so far. No source is credible.
One thing I know is my music taste does not completely define who I am.
I don't even understand what my label in society might be.
Like all the hip kids, 'I don't use labels.'
Lists of random 'get-to-know-me' facts are obviously a blast.
I'm incapable of organizing my MySpace page in an appealing fashion.
...I'll finish this later. Reservoir Dogs is on 'pause'.
Who I'd like to meet: Tons and tons of visual artists, please! I want to become familiar with more people who can inspire and more importantly, can give me their input and help me to improve. Also, I'd love to meet some colorful, beautifully unique people that I may use in my artwork!
Oh oh! Also, I'm always game for some groovy bands with sweet tunes. ...Ska, punk, psychobilly...you name it. More than likely I can dig it.
Um, so... that AJ kid is very attractive and cool, but he comes off as thinking he's better than me and I'm not so hot on that. I know what the definition of Suburbia, kthnx. :) But, all and all, a good choice, mamasita.
I'm doing pretty good I guess. My step grandmother is staying here until after the trip to New Mexico. A trip that I'm not really looking forward to. But it gives me an opertunity to read I guess.
Sunday I hung out with alot of my friends. Then monday when I was heading into movie mondays, at Left-Hand books collective, I ran into even more friends on my way down there.
Anyways how was Eliches? Sorry I called you while you were driving.
