"Contains probably some of the very worst poetry in print today."
FFWD
"(It) is an anthology that, in a lot of ways, is probably more entertaining, useful and therapeutic than, frankly, too many poetry collections... A smart high school English teacher would put this on a course list with Shakespeare." Montreal Mirror
"Bad rhymes, awkward phrases and pacing, nonsensical imagery and melodrama make up the poems in this collection. Iambic pentameter will be hard to come by, but not laughs, as a result of reading such gems as, "In the hand of friendship/You are the hangnail of discontent" (from And So It Goes), and "My hurt did not leave/you took my heart/you are the thieve" (James Breakup Poem). For the book, laughs from readers means mission accomplished."

Who I'd like to meet: People that wrote poems about Kurt Cobain.
Hi, we met at the Toronto Fringe today. Unfortunately I couldn't stick around to watch. Hope the show went well. I'll definitely check it out when you bring it to T.O. again. As I mentioned my short films are posted in my profile. Check them out and tell me what you think. BIG departure from the play I told you about.
Hi, thanks for the add! Blurbs from your book made me laugh out loud and sent me straight to my diary, to read some hideous poems from my high-school days.
Have a lovely day!

Moll doll his chin;
Her hair birch-
Broom-in-the-fits;
Chalk and cheese, they said;
Cradle and grave,
They said;
Yet-
You could smell
The smouldering, sparry,
Whenever they met.
THURSDAY, APRIL 5 6:00PM
THE WALLS OF NABLUS: From the Romans to Hamas
Location: Interurban Gallery - 1 East Hastings (at Carrall)
Opening: Thursday, April 5, 6pm-9pm
Exhibition runs until April 28
Gallery Hours: Wednesday to Saturday, 1pm-5pm
The Interurban Gallery and ISM Vancouver present a photo-documentation exhibit entitled THE WALLS OF NABLUS: From The Romans To Hamas by FREEXERO.COM.
THE WALLS OF NABLUS documents the shocking destruction of this ancient city in Palestine by the Israeli occupation as well as the ongoing resistance to the occupation.
The images reveal walls sprayed with graffitti and bullet holes. Layers of posters showing martyred fighters mix with politicians, cell phone ads and local event announcements.
Squat roman arches, narrow alleys, barricaded doors and piles of rubble tell the ongoing story of occupations, demolitions, alterations, repair and conflict. The people of Nablus have been under brutal economic and military siege for 6 years. But like the walls of the city, the people's resistance and reslience remains strong.
FREEXERO.COM is a collective commited to confronting cultural and political elitism. FREEXERO.COM is a collaboration of art and politics, a "Temporary Autonomous Zone" for conversations, performance and revelations.
