Tavern Tan play live American music. They may be in your town soon. Long history of basement sessions, other projects, west coasters, and deep roots brought these fellas together. Have played (individually or collectively) at Gun Clubs, Honky Tonks, Festivals in Europe, NY Studios, Down In Memphis TN at Sun Records, opened for various BIG GAME like Neville Bros, Van Morrison, John Lee Hooker (R.I.P.), R.L. Burnside (R.I.P.), too many to mention... College towns, local dives, even a new age festival once - lately trying to just stay alive. By the way, Tavern Tan is named after a sort of complextion you get from the neon nightly beer lights. Have all done time in Taverns. Prefer beer to wine (most of the time), and their first 14-song release, "FOXED, FLAWED AND CUPSHOT" (all old english terms that mean sloshed, bombed and plastered), released summer of 2006, was so successful that they went back into Center Valley's Dan's House Studio in 2007 and made ANOTHER 16-song portable jukebox of American Music—"3 HORSE POWER". 16 new tunes, and the fellas are out there promoting it now. There is no non-smoking section at this joint, pilgrims. No reservations necessary - come on by. They've got a running tab.
(Pretty steep).
Hi there Tavern Tan first of all we'd like to say thanks for being our myspace pal. We wanted to make sure you knew the reason incase we suddenly vanish off of your friends list. The movement we've started for indie artists has grown significantly and consumes all of our time these days. We seldom sign into our myspace account and this is making several people believe that we are ignoring them. We are not ignoring anyone, we wanted everyone to know that. What we're doing has become so busy we just don't have the time for myspace any longer, so in all honesty we are probably going to just close our myspace account.
Many people wanted to use us in the future so if you were one of those people make sure you bookmark the link below so that in the event that we do close our myspace account you won't loose contact with us. I wish you the best of luck in your music career. Thanks again for being our myspace pal.
Guys...The new cd is AMAZING!!!!! I need time to collect my thoughts and put them into words that will do this thing justice. For now, let's leave it at "album of the year".....In-FREAKIN-credible.....
Doug-Thanks for the cd, and turning me on to Jimmy Rogers....and Tom, the drinks are on me next time. Thank you both! I'll track down 2 Gram Parsons T shirts for you!!! :)
It is a great honour to be greeted by a talented band as Tavern Tan. I will look forward to teach the next lesson in the scandinavian aquavit tradition. Keep up te good work and remember to have fun
We're in your "neck of the woods" this weekend -- all the way to PA from Austin, TX. Come out and see me and the band at the Grape Street Pub in Philly on Saturday or Crocodile Rock in Allentown on Sunday! We're lookin forward to making some new friends in the Northeast. Thanks!

Thanks for being our friends. Since this won't interfere with any of your gigs, I will break my rule about self promoting on a band's page and post something here... just this once. Like I said, it ought not cut into your gigging schedule! Besides, the Classic Rock we do is all based on Roots music to begin with. Right? Right!
Cheers,
Bill Fox
