The summer of 2004 two Trenton boys got together to create a band, there names: Nick Rockey and Tom Arsenault. They got local drummer Marcus Cosh from the band Forbidden Sin to come play drums for them. But with the band going in no direction but down they quit after only a few jams, mainly because drummers were hard to find and Marcus sucked.
After a few months Nick and Marcus got to jamming again in January and Nick noticed Marcus got better on the skins so they stayed put, in February Nick got Katie Delaney whom was a local jazz bassist to come play bass and they all connected and the band got to jamming and writing.
Recording on a shitty computer mic on a lousy recording program they made there first demo but didnt sell them until there 4th show, Two months down the road Nick got Aaron Haden to come do some Vocals/Screams with the band, so he did, and when he wasnt screaming he was either jumping around or doing pushups.
Tape Wheel played there first show on June 25th 2005 at The Trenton Youth Centre with One Last Salute(Cheticamp,NS) I Was A Spy(Sydney,NS) One Day Late(Sydney,NS) Above All Else(Stellarton,NS) The Hollow Chapter(Westville,NS) and The Corey Bowser Experience(Trenton,NS), After that Aaron played two more shows then surprised everyone when he declared that he quit the band on stage in Trenton at a show with Thine Eyes Bleed, Mechanism and The Hollow Chapter.
Tape Wheel continued of course and on August 16th Tape Wheel welcomed in none other than Tom Arsenault and Finally the band seemed full but in April of 2007, due to conflicts within the band Tape Wheel took on New Bassist Chris Halverson from Stellarton then Zack The Band from stellarton for trumpet and now the band is going strong playing with bands such as Ten Second Epic, Thine Eyes Bleed, Crush Luther, Sydney, The Gorgeous and a lot more and having accomplishments such as Playing The Extreme Youth Rockfest, Filming for Much Musics Music Is My Life: Arielle, Recording at Smashbox Studios with Mark Scott in Dominion, Creating over 20 songs and working/playing with people such as: Trev from YouthInAsia, Lorne and Remy from One Last Salute, Kyle and Alex from Sixtyfive.22, Nate from Above All Else, Max from Mainstreet Exit and Tons of people who decided to just grab the mic at our shows.
Tape Wheel has been together since February 17th 2005 and they are still going strong,
