I have been told I sound like some very beautiful and talented women. I can only hope to attain what God has for me. I am humbled and honored when people tell me I sound like Whitney Houston, Yolanda Adams, or Denice Williams. They are all wonderful artists in their own rights. I have studied them all, but I believe God has given me my own unique sound. You judge for yourself. Here is my new Debut CD "Don't Turn Your Back On God"

Talein is known for her angelic voice and explosive stage presence. It was evident at a young age that she was going to be a woman of purpose and destiny. Talein, born Kia Talein Anderson is a multi-talented woman on a mission to share her gifts and talents with the world. She is an entrepreneur, writer, songwriter, model, actress, gospel-recording artist, life coach, wife and mother.
Talein’s latest endeavor is her non-profit ministry Divine LifeStyle. As an eloquent speaker and gifted writer for many years her talents prove again to inspire others to live a lifestyle that is pure, honest, encouraging and uplifting. Her internet Podcast show Divine LifeStyle is broadcasting on iTunes. Her heart for young women did not stop when she was reigning as Miss Black Maryland in 1992. This summer Talein is conducting her Divine LifeStyle Summer Enrichment 2008 for young ladies ages 8-16. Extremely passionate about mentoring young women, Talein discusses self-esteem, life choices, and is an advocator for Abstinence and HIV/AID’s education. She continues to speak out on pre-marital sex, drugs, violence, and alternative lifestyles in the Christian community and the world.
Always a trendsetter and natural born leader Talein is embarking on Lady Virtuous and online scholarship pageant for women pursuing their calling in ministry. This pageant will help aid women who desire to obtain a scholarship to attain their Divinity Degree or continue their education in the field of Theological Studies. I want to give back and give the opportunity I had with the Miss Black USA Scholarship Pageant.
After her crowing as First Runner-up Miss Black USA, Talein was selected to be the lead female vocalist for Atlantic Starr and recorded the CD “Time” on Arista Records. Talein’s passion for music has been heard through out the US and abroad. She was featured as an up and coming artist on Candi Staton’s show “Say Yes” on Trinity Broadcasting Network and has ministered on many platforms with the whose who in ministry. In 2007, Talein released her latest musical master piece “Don’t Turn Your Back On God”. This is her gospel Debut CD written by her and her mom La-Tina Smith and Produced by her husband Jamar DeJan. Continuing in the entrepreneurial spirit they launched Angelic Vibe Music and continues to write and produce for other artist. Jamar and Talein are the Worship & Arts Ministers at New Birth North and reside in the metro Atlanta area. There is much on the horizon for Talein and we just await and see.
