I read a ton, and can usually be found sitting at Starbucks doing so. I also love Starbucks, it truely is my 3rd place. I'm there every day. I love coffee.
I love to write, though mostly it's in my journal these days. Not much poetry or stories lately, though any poetry I pump out, usually makes it to my blog.
I love outdoor activities, walking, running, hiking, camping, climbing trees, canoeing, biking, swimming, scuba diving, or just lazing about in the grass.
I love the cold weather and building a nice fire.
I love feeling the wind in my hair.
I love foggy days that blot out the sun and cover the world in unnatural quiet.
I have so many more interests and can't muster the strength to list them right now.
Music
I am very picky about music. Mostly I enjoy specific songs, rather that an artist or band's full spectrum. Music is how I reflect on my feelings. I hate rap, and don't care fr any of the newer country music. Most indie and emo music annoys me.
Movies
I love movies, however, at the moment I lack the patience to list any of them.
Television
Oh.... well everything I liked on TV has been cancelled, so now I have to either download it or buy it on DVD, so I guess it doesn't count as TV unless there's commercials.
Buffy
Angel
Charmed
Alias
Dresden Files
Lost
Heroes
Blood Ties
Xena
Jericho
Bionic Woman
Painkiller Jane
Soon to air:
Terminator: The Sarah Connors Chronicals
Joss Whedon's Dollhouse
Books
I read ALOT. I love books. Favorite authors include:
Anne Rice
Christopher Rice
Kelley Armstrong
Kim Harrison
Kat Richardson
Rachel Vincent
Storm Constantine
Tolkien
and of course, Miss J.K. Rowling
I'm sure there are plenty of authors I left out, but here's the gist. This doesn't even cover the comic book fetish that I have.
Heroes
My biggest hero is... ummm... I don't think I have one. But Xena and Gabbrielle, and at least 3 of the Slayers (Buffy, Faith, and Kenedy) are in the listing, also Willow, because, well, she's a lesbian Witch!
..My best friend Penelope, so gorgeous, so smart, everything I love in a woman..
About me: "The whole history of civilization is strewn with creeds and institutions which were invaluable at first, and deadly afterwards."
Walter Bagehot (1826 - 1877)
What is there to say about me? Always a good question. I am a very open person and I get along with most people, if by nothing more than sheer will to avoid conflict. That's not to say that I fear conflict, it just tends to create needless stress. I feel a need for meaning, but lack the guidance to find that meaning. I dream of destiny and of nomadic adventures. I feel very lonely sometimes, partly because I feel misunderstood and partly because I am not always receptive to others. I have a bad habit of sending the wrong signals to people, often leaving them thinking that I am not interested when I am. I do this, I think, so I don't seem desperate. I say that I don't care what other people think, though I am very self-conscious. I constantly contradict myself.
If you really want to know more about me, feel free to ask, no subject is taboo.
Who I'd like to meet: There are so many people I would love to meet, of course, 9 out of 10 are fictional characters. What can I say, I like comic books and novels quite a bit and real people just get on my nerves more often than not.
Someone who peaks my interest, a person who can teach me things and take my critical, and often cynical viewpoints with a grain of salt. Someone who is interested in who I am, not what I can do for them. Someone who cn tell me when I am annoying them or doing something they don't like without bottling it up and blowing a gasket down the line.
