I am really enjoying teaching.
I have learned so much since graduating college.
Teaching myself as new technologies were emerging, and taking training sessions on them.
Using them in real world projects, and then finally having someone to pass that knowledge onto.
I wish I would have had someone to go to as things were happening and emerging that I could have asked help from.
The IT world is such a lonely and proprietary place. Colleagues only give you the bare minimum they can and people skills just don't exist.
It would be nice to have the students come out with a little more than just the technical knowledge. To have them graduate with the ability to get up from behind their desk in their cubicle in the back of the building and be able to present and describe what they are doing for themselves. It took me 2 years to break out of my shell and do that and I know many people who after a decade or so still haven't.

I also like going to Brew Festivals. I like to see what people are coming up with in this Rennasiance of beer that has emerged since homebrewing was legalized in 1978.
