Sukutai is a Traditional Marimba & Dance Ensamble from Zimbabe. Now based is Seattle Sukutai spreads the music & culture of the Shona people of Zimbabwe. Formed by Lora Chiorah, Sukutai means when your doing something do it rite. Lora & here band have been performing around the world for over 25 years now. Lora started Sukutai when she decided she wanted to hand her taditional music roots down to her three cildren. Within a few years Sukutai was opening up for artists suck as Miles Davis, Jimmy Buffet, Hough Masekela & even Janet Jackson. In the 80's Sukutai even welcomed then Prime Minister Robert Mugabe to Boing Feild as he visited America for the first time. If you ever get a chance to see Sukutai perform you will walk away with a smile.
