The bands debut-CD, "City of dreams" was released in 2003 on the swedish label Lantern music and has recieved worldwide acclaim among critics and fusion aficionados alike.Subfive's 2nd studio album, "Safari" was released in the fall of 2008 in conjunction with their 2nd tour of Japan, and in Europe in the spring of 2009.In 2011 Subfive opened the New Taipei City Riverside Arts Festival in Taiwan in addition to performing at jazz clubs and festivals in Japan. Subfive has since the mid 00's visited east Asia regularly and has gained a large following in the region. In october of 2013 the band embarked on their 4th tour of Japan, and in the fall of 2014 Subfive will return for concerts in Hong kong and Japan.

The bandmembers are: Andreas Andersson - sax, Johan Öijen - guitars, Mats Byström - keyboards, Anders Pirinen - bass and Johan Löfcrantz - drums.
