Hailing from Palm Springs, California in the heart of the Coachella Valley comes Strest. Formed in the summer of 2002 STREST is singer/guitarist Damian Lautiero (Polyphemus, Open Sea, Lung Cookie) Scott Reynolds guitars (Know Illusion, Madmax) Shawn Blair Bass and Leon Stephens Drums.
STREST combines elements of Rock, Punk, and Metal to create an onslaught of scorching guitar rock, fueled by pounding rhythms and soaring melodies.This is Intelligent Music for People who don't need filtered , dumbed down, marketing execs telling them what rocks. In the spirit of Desert Rock pioneers Kyuss, Unsound, Fatso Jetson, Fu Manchu, and Yawning Man, STREST brings it Loud, Hard, and packed with intensity guaranteed to Rock you right off your seat.
