Garry Tullio
With a deep passion for singing, Garry Tullio got his musical start at 12 years old playing polkas with his Grandpa. Having a newfound love for Acoustic, New Grass and Americana, Garry can trace his musical influences back to his parents love for the Grateful Dead, the Eagles and The Steve Miller Band. With a diverse musical respect for bands such as Sublime, Sam Bush, Dave Mathews and The String Cheese Incident, he continues to better himself instrumentally through his mentors and friends he plays with. Garry contributes to the distinct sound of Stray Grass with his song writing, vocals, mandolin, papoose and guitar.
Kerry Youngblood
Kerry is a singer-songwriter who has been performing for over 35 years. Performing during the 1970s with the highly acclaimed Tulsa Artist Rich Gilliland. Kerry first appeared in Colorado in the early 1980s with bluegrass/folks combinations such as the Double Decker Band, and Mirage a Trois and most recently Stray Grass. Kerry is known as a virtuoso whisky drinker, humorist, and emerging Guitjo player whos writing, vocals and instrumental contributions can be heard throughout the Stray Grass sound.
Guy Stephens
Guy Stephens plays acoustic guitar, a little mandolin and provides vocal support for the Strays. He began playing guitar at the tender age of 6 having been inspired by the Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour and his parents collection of Chet Atkins recordings. Guy and Pete Langford (Bass) supply a solid rhythmic and harmonic foundation to Stray Grass music due to a long shared musical history going back to the early 80s club scene in Colorado and most recently a 12-year stint as founding members of JT & the Big Dogs.
Guys musical tastes are varied and include not only Americana and New Acoustic music, but also Jazz, Blues, Fingerstyle and anything with an interesting melody.
Pete Langford
Pete Langford has been active in the music scene in Grand Junction since 1971 when he moved here from the Front Range to attend college. He was a founding member of two of the areas best known bands, Ralph Dinosaur & the Fabulous Volcanoes and more recently JT & the Big Dogs. He has been playing with Guy on and off for over 20 years, from 99 and Fourplay in the 80s to JT & the Big Dogs most recently. Pete has been playing bass since he was 15, switching from guitar because even then guitar players were a dime a dozen. He plays the upright or doghouse bass with Stray Grass. His musical interest range from new grass to chamber music with lots of 1960s R&B influence thrown in.
Influences
Tim O'Brien, New Grass Revival, Peter Rowan, Bob Dylan, Dave Mathews, Crosby Stills and Nash, Strenght in Numbers......
Stray Grass specializes in a high-energy interpretation of acoustic music. Although played on traditional instruments, the musical stylings of Stray Grass are anything but traditional. Inspired by artists as diverse as Tim OBrien, Peter Rowan, Dave Matthews, New Grass Revival, Bob Dylan and Crosby Stills and Nash, their music has been categorized as Americana with a New Acoustic Flair. However, many folks have taken to simply calling Aqua-Grass. But whatever you want to call it, the Stray Grass enthusiasm and love of great acoustic music will certainly keep you entertained
Stray Grass is Garry Tullio (Vocals, mandolin, papoose, guitar), Kerry Younglbood (Vocals and guit-jo), Pete Langford (Upright Bass) and Guy Stephens (Guitar, mandolin and vocals)

Just saw that you guys are playing with the Stringdusters! They are on fire right now, and would love to see you guys play with them. But it's a big bluegrass weekend over here. I'd bring a crowd for a Front Range/Boulder show whenever you guys are up for it!

The late jug master (1939-2005) plays some of the spookiest tones ever on the previously unreleased "Visiting Day." Recorded by the Jailhouse Jug Band, the tune is currently spotlighted on the Jug Bandolier player.
