Strategy was born in 1999 in the world of four-track homebrew electronic music, and presented to about 5-10 friends until 2001, when Brian Foote from Outward Music Company convinced me to try my hand at live performance. The show went over well, and from there things spiraled out of control. I explored everything from programmed dub and dance music to freeform ambient sound design and free improvisation during this time. Then I learned to DJ under the apprenticeship of DJ Brokenwindow, and I am now a regular local live performer, DJ, and general enthusiastic guy in Portland. I also play in the bands nudge and One Human Minute, and in the past I have been in some bands such as Emergency, Fontanelle, Two Noises, Entertainment, and The Cold War. I have co-founded a DIY label, Archigramophone, (in 1998) and founded Community Library, an experimental-music label run in partnership with Baked Goods Distribution (UK). future rock is amazing!!! well deserved best of 2007 credits from the wire/ boomkat. psychadelic to the max!! you guys must have some pretty good weed out there, i bet. drumsolo's delight/ goings street dub are still my favs, though. top notch stuff, where electronic music should be heading imho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
