Music
I enjoy all types of music, but the songs I've written always concentrated on melody and harmony. Here's an example, a song called "Once in a Longtime" which I wrote a long time ago with my friend Christopher Ward. The arrangement is way outdated now (and I'd love to hear it recorded again in a contemporary pop style) but still, of all the songs I've been involved with, this one is really close to my heart!!

Here's another song Christopher and I wrote, this is just a demo recording with Cheryl Davies singing lead, but you'll get a definite sense of my love of Brian Wilson harmonies. It's called "Almost Heaven".

Finally, this is fun, Jody Colero, Jim McGrath and I wrote the theme song to Degrassi: The Next Generation. A couple of years ago we created a long version based based on the Season 4 arrangement of the theme. The rap section was written by a great rap artist named Evren.

Hi Stephen! Thanks for clearing things up with the end of Instant Star blog. I personally think that the-n shouldn't have changed its format, I mean how many more reality shows and comedies does the world need? (And the new shows that they are coming out with are definately not as good as Degrassi, Instant Star, South of Nowhere, and The Best Years.) They should have stuck with the drama shows that teens and young adults love, but they had to go and make another nickelodeon/mtv type channel w/ old nick shows and new (bad) reality shows. Oh well. Sorry for rambling so much, anyway, I wanted to ask you something: If you had done the fifth season as the last season, would Jude and Tommy have eneded up together in the end? I really want to know, please! lol :)
hey thanks for instant star the seasons were amazing but i wish that the endng had be differnt like jude and tommy together the n should really do a mini for what happened to them after jude left. but i still love instant star so thanks

omg! i can't believe you ended IS like that...still love the show...but still...now its upsetting to watch the other episodes...:( anyways thnx for such an amazing show...and four seasons...plz plz plz put an alternate ending on the DVD...that would be great :)
Just wanted to pop in and say that I am a big fan of your work. Especially Degrassi. Every season has been great and Im looking forward to season 8. Hopefully Sean and Emma (my fav Degrassi couple) reunite. That would make season 8 awesome. Instant Star rocks as well. Im sad that this is the final season.
wow! instant star became thee number 1 show for me i enjoyed watchin every episode from beggining to end but i was very disapointed in how it ended! you left a lot of people guessing and we'll never know what happens with sadie,kwest, and darius!? how does jude just leave the love of her life in such a way! as i can see on a lot of sites people want another season it has impacted my life in such a way. its unexplainable but thanks for a great show(:
instant star was amazing since day 1 it has had some major ups and major downs and thousands of fans around the world that love it.
i deffinately think an altranate ending or a movie to sum some stuff up.
karma and speid getting sued.??? kwest sadie and darius....love triangle???? and after all the ups and downs with jude and tommy they end up not being together???
whats the deal with that.
we deffinately need something so sumarize things for all the fans who love this show and are already sad to see it go.
Hey Stephen. I hope you're having a good summer. Thank you so much for giving us an amazing 4 seasons of Instant Star. The ending was unexpected for most of us, but on some note I guess it was the right way to end things. Well, there were some loose ends that were not tied up in the last episode, many of the fans noticed that. Most of us hope that a season 5 or a movie would be taken into consideration to end Instant Star completely, but I know that's not going to happen. Thank god for Fanfiction. lol. Thank you for an amazing show. It made a huge impact on my life, the show is the main reason why I got into music. :) Have a great summer!
