All the above tone variations (except "wind") were made with my Micro Moog, which survived the fire, and were manipulated by zod.
Steve Beach AKA Miami Beach, got his start in the Atlanta music scene in 1977 as the first guitarist for The Restraints, Atlanta's first punk rock band.
Moving on to form No Exit the following year with Stephen Hardy, Beach played all the legendary local venues at the time such as 688 , and The Agora Ballroom, and appeared on the Panic Records New Wave compilation LP Standard Deviation singing his classic song Hit Single.
In 1982, Steve moved into the Public Domain warehouse downtown known as Pillowtex with other art luminaries and formed the experimental duo Pillowtexans with David Dean. Later on, Bryan Lilje and David Watkins joined to expand Pillowtexans to a progressive art-rock band, and Steve subsequently appeared on the Nine Underground compilation LP, and Pillowtexans CD, Displacement.
Aquiring an Akai 4 track reel to reel deck around this time allowed Steve many opportunities to hone his craft as a smart-pop-art-rock songsmith, creating the solo compositions you hear on the player above, and a myriad of other twisted pop masterpieces and experimental ditties which remain as yet unburied from the multiple reels of analogue tapes stashed away.
