Hailing from Los Angeles, Dairenn Lombard embarked on a mission to bring large-scale production, affectionate lyrics and virtuoso instrumentation back to rock music. After years of perfecting his craft -- learning the techniques of Rush's Alex Lifeson, Edward Van Halen, Yngwie J. Malmsteen and Mr. Big’s Paul Gilbert – STARFIRE was born. STARFIRE blends an array of genres, presenting Lombard’s original interpretation of Classic Rock with songs about love and affection. Beyond the lyrics, the true focus of the music is on the massive drums, epic keyboard ambiance and edgy yet sophisticated guitar work.

After spending 20 years learning to perform and record along with writing countless songs he joined ASCAP, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

Andrew James - Live Bass, Backing Vocals

Lombard was anxious to bring his long awaited album to the stage. In 2006, he began piecing together a team of backing musicians, each with an impressive musical background. Lombard found Denver-native Andrew James, four and five string electric and acoustic bass guitar player that has gigged for over a decade on stages as big as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Rachel Ray Show, and Good Morning America and is a touring member of the band Karmin.

Blake Pauson - Live Drummer

Minnesotan and Berklee College of Music alum, Blake Paulson has a BA in Professional Music and is the author of Hal Leonard’s “Drum Set Coordination.” in addition to performing in countless small and large live performances and on numerous albums, both indie and major label.

Greg Pajer - Guitar

Also in the lineup is Sacramento-native Greg Pajer, Musicians Institute alum with a degree in Commercial Music. Pajer has played on national commercials and television shows as well as toured with major label artists such as Mandi Perkins and Nina Bergman.

Neara Russell - Live Keyboards

Another Berklee College of Music alum, Neara Russell, is the latest addition to the band. Hailing from Wisconsin, Russell is a studio and touring keyboardist/vocalist who has toured with major label artists such as American Idol Season 10’s Haley Reinhart and Bridgit Mendler.
